First class references and a superior knowledge of the shipping business has led to Trade Ship Inc. to provide a fully integrated information system, SeaLiner to the Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Berhad (MISC).
MISC, a provider of world class maritime transportation and logistic services sees the implementation of SeaLiner as part of the move towards its vision in being the preferred provider of its world class services.
"At MISC, we aim to be the number one global provider of maritime and logistic services. We selected Trade Ship because of their knowledge of our industry and the ability to provide the customization required to meet MISC's requirements. There is no doubt, SeaLiner will allow our company to provide an enhanced customer service with a timely response to meet their needs and expectations."
One of the special features of SeaLiner that attracted MISC, was its ability to manage slot allocation, allowing shipping companies to control selling, buying and exchanging of slots. The module administers, maintains and coordinates this vital activity, whilst maintaining the contractual agreements that support the billing or payment process, which links to accounts payable and accounts receivable modules.
Other unique features of SeaLiner include the Intermodal module, which enables set-up, maintenance and retrieval of multiple routings between any two points using different modes of transport, i.e. trucking, barge operators and rail companies. The power of Intermodal Manager enables users to efficiently allocate inbound cargo to transport operators whilst controlling the entire process.
Included in the 22 modules provided to MISC, each one designed to meet the precise requirements are security and administration, customer relation management, tariff and quotation, booking, documentation, slot management, container leasing, tracking, maintenance and repair, intermodal, terminal operations, vendor management, claims & unclaimed cargo, ship husbandry, ship planning, vessel scheduling, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, proforma, budget and management reporting, etc. |
